As many know by now, Orlando Christian Singles is a primary partner in starting GracePoint Orlando: Church With Singles In Mind!  This doesn't, however, mean that we will cease to exist or that we have given up on our original vision as a volunteer organization to meet the spiritual and social needs of singles in Orlando.

GracePoint and Orlando Christian Singles have two different but synergistic purposes.  One reason Orlando Christian Singles exist is to help those who are already in church to have fellowship with other believers in the same life state as they are.  This makes it a para-church organization.  GracePoint exist to make disciples of those who are unsaved and unchurched.

Orlando Christian Singles has always looked for a sponsoring church that would give financial and ministry resources to the cause, but after 5 years we were left to struggle financially.  It's a sad fact that few church nationwide give any concern to the 50 plus percent of our population that are not yet married.  This is one of the primary reasons why we saw a need for a church with a singles focus.  Since about 50% of Orlando is single, GracePoint is committed to giving  50% of its ministry resources to ministering to singles.  Part of these resources will go to the volunteers organization Orlando Christian Singles.  So OCS, for the first time, will be well funded.  And that can only benefit them as they seek to meet the needs of those they minister to.  So though you don't see a lot going on with Orlando Christian Singles going on right now, beginning next year we will be more active than ever.  And we'll have the benefit of a covering church, who can watch over us both financially and staff wise.

The future is bright of OCS.   Just be patient with us for now.
